This was the coolest experience yet flying RC planes. It just so happens that Zivko Aeronautics, the company that makes the EDGE 540 Aerobatic Airplane (Red Bull Series etc.) is based 20 miles away from me in Guthrie, Oklahoma (I’m in Stillwater, OK). So by dumb luck, a 540 just rolls right across my flying field doing no more than 40 mph and tree high. He tipped his wings to say hello and climbed away. I gave chase with my E-Flite Apprentice and caught up with him and almost hit his gear! Of course my cameraman only gets the last bit, he was amazed too, not paying attention. Soooo cool!!!! CLARIFICATION: Exaggeration on actually hitting him folks. He saw me, I could see him waving. No intention of hitting him. I am not trying to promote hazardous flying here. Not at all.
